Don’t Tell Mama, But Eddie Redmayne and Jessie Buckley Will Star in ‘Cabaret’ at London’s Historic Kit Kat Club This Fall

Historic West End jazz club and theater the Kit Kat Club is preparing to reopen its doors in November with the musical “Cabaret” starring Oscar, BAFTA, Tony and Olivier-winning actor Eddie Redmayne (“The Theory of Everything”) and BAFTA and BIFA-nominee Jessie Buckley (“Wild Rose”).

Directed by Rebecca Frecknall, herself an Olivier winner in 2019 for “Summer and Smoke,” the Kit Kat Club version of Cabaret will play to a capacity of 550 spectators. Redmayne will play the Emcee with Buckley taking the reins as Sally Bowles and further casting details to be announced soon.

Set and costume design is being handled by Tom Scutt and choreography by Julia Cheng, founder of the House of Absolute and a Philharmonia Orchestra Artist in Residence. Jennifer Whyte will handle musical supervision and direction. “Cabaret” at the Kit Kat Club is produced by Ambassador Theatre Group Productions and Underbelly.

Although tickets are not yet available for purchase, interested buyers can follow the show’s progress at kitkat.club and sign up to be notified when they do go on sale.
